PMPML App to Include Pune Metro Ticket Booking Facility

Pune: Commuters in Pune will soon be able to purchase Pune Metro ticket through the PMPML mobile app, marking a significant step towards integrated public transport in the city.

The move comes after PMPML and Pune Metro administrations reached an agreement to exchange APIs and link their ticketing systems.

Technical Integration Underway for Pune Metro and PMPML

According to officials, the technical teams of PMPML and Pune Metro are scheduled to meet this week to finalize the rollout date of the integrated ticketing facility. The meeting will also address the technical aspects required for smooth implementation.

Pune Metro Ticket Through PMPML App to Ease Travel

Currently, PMPML’s ‘Aapli PMPML’ mobile app has nearly 10 lakh downloads, while Pune Metro’s app has been downloaded by around 1 lakh commuters. With the new system, passengers will be able to use a single app to book both PMPML and Pune Metro tickets, saving time and offering greater convenience.

Integrated Ticketing to Benefit Pune Metro and PMPML Users

The collaboration between PMPML and Pune Metro is expected to streamline public transport services in Pune, making them more accessible and efficient. Passengers will no longer need to switch between different apps, as all ticketing services will be integrated into one platform.

Speaking with mediapersons, Pankaj Deore, Chairman & Managing Director of PMPML, stated: “Discussions with Metro officials on the integrated ticketing system have concluded positively. Both sides have agreed to exchange APIs, and the service will be launched soon.
